About this Opportunity
Under the direction of the Working Foreperson, the Water and Wastewater Operator Level II is responsible for performing tasks related to the installation, operation and repairs of the water distribution, water treatment, and wastewater collection systems

- Performs scheduled maintenance of all waterworks and sewage collection system components
- Supports the water sampling program when necessary by taking water samples and interpreting results
- Ensures work is performed safely and in adherence to established work standards
- Complies with all applicable safety regulations and procedures
- Regularly monitors gauges, meters, and control panels and adjusts any variations within the operating conditions of the system, if/when necessary, under the advisement of senior operator
- Ensures the safe operation and maintenance of all related tools and equipment
Must Haves:
- One year of recent experience at a Class 2 or higher distribution/treatment facility
- EOCP Water Distribution Operator’s Certificate (Level 2)
- EOCP Water Treatment Operator’s Certificate (Level 2)
- Waste Water Collection Operator’s Certificate (Level 1)
- Chlorine Handling Certificate
- Knowledge of SCADA systems
