Call for Proposals: Short Films on First Peoples’ Cultural Revitalization in BC. Deadline March 17, 2023. Knowledge Network, in partnership with the First Peoples’ Cultural Council, is seeking Indigenous filmmakers to produce stories reflecting the cultural values First Peoples bring to British Columbia. These stories will be broadcast on Knowledge Network and its streaming platforms. We are looking for stories that inform, entertain and enlighten audiences about First Nations cultural revitalization in British Columbia, which include efforts to revitalize languages, arts, cultures and heritage and showcase the positive impact on communities. These stories will span a wide variety of subject areas including, but not limited to, art, music, dance, songs, stories, languages and language technology, heritage stewardship, repatriation, archeology. Eligibility: Indigenous People of Canada (First Nations, Metis, Inuit), must be a for-profit incorporated production company that is 100% Indigenous owned, must be based in British Columbia. Q&A sessions will be provided on February 23 and 28th.
