FPCC Announces The Conference Board of Canada report revealing the significant economic impact of FPCC’s activities on job creation and GDP in Canada. The Conference Board of Canada’s report on the economic impact of the First Peoples’ Cultural Council (FPCC) finds that the $48.6 million in grants delivered by FPCC to First Nations organizations and individuals in B.C. in 2023-24 generated an estimated $91.2 million in gross domestic product (GDP) in Canada and created over 1,800 jobs. FPCC’s Annual Report to Communities. The Annual Report to Communities details the accomplishments of FPCC’s programs, support and events over the 2023-2024 program year. Over the past year, the team at FPCC has worked hard to deliver a record-breaking $48.6 million in grants to support B.C First Nations in revitalizing their languages, arts and cultural heritage.
FPCC Releases their Accessibility Plan. First Peoples’ Cultural Council is committed to identifying, removing and preventing barriers across our platforms, programs and initiatives. Summary Report: Edmonton First Nations and Métis Language Gathering. On August 7 and 8, 2024, the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages (the Commission) hosted a language gathering in Treaty Six territory and within Métis homelands (Edmonton) as a part of its continuing dialogue with First Nations and Métis peoples on their language revitalization efforts.
