Located in the North Thompson valley, at Simpcw Resources Group we provide environmental, management, and operational services while preserving Simpcw culture and heritage with respect towards the environment. Our goals include creating economic growth from the commercial development of natural resources within the Simpcw’ulécw (Simpcw Territory) by being the major contractor and competing for work in both the public and private sectors.

Current Opportunities:

Part-time, project-term employment opportunity available until August 31st, 2025. Ideal for a student interested in gaining practical experience in Simpcw Resources Group communications division. This role is suited for a proactive and enthusiastic individual looking to enhance their skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • ‌Assist with the management and content update of our company’s website.
  • ‌Help in the preparation and distribution of promotional materials and swag.
  • ‌Support the retail side of our operations, including sales support and merchandise organization.
  • Participate in the setup and execution of community events and promotional activities.
  • ‌Engage with community members and customers, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • ‌Social media: Able to help with content creation and organization on the back end of social media.
  • ‌Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
  • ‌Work with Mentee to ensure collaboration with flyers for retail operations.
  • ‌Other duties as assigned.

    ‌Qualifications

  • ‌Currently enrolled in a university program.
  • ‌Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ‌Basic understanding of digital media and proficiency with computers.
  • ‌Keen interest in learning about marketing, communications, and retail management.
  • ‌Creative and proactive in solving problems and completing tasks.

  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
