About this Opportunity

Under the direction of the Director of Health & Wellness, the Medical Office Assistant will support clients, Nurse Practitioners, Health & Wellness Department and other allied health professionals by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, word processing, directing client calls and walk-ins, manage medical supplies inventory, etc.

  • Provides administrative, clerical, and technical support to the Health and Wellness department
  • Schedules and coordinates client appointments. This includes facilitating the client intake process; ensuring all correct forms are completed and client understands processes involved, confirming appointment times; ensuring appointment reminders are sent to clients, and booking client follow-up appointments (as required).
  • Assigns appropriate times, dates, and locations for Nurse practitioners and specialists visiting WFN Community Services
  • Directs client calls/walk-ins, manages all incoming/outgoing correspondence including, confidential faxes, email or telephone inquiries, couriers, etc.
  • Communicate test results to clients when requested by Nurse Practitioners
  • Prepares Nurse Practitioner Exam Room between client visits

Must Haves:

  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate required
  • Minimum of three (3) years related office experience
  • Advanced level of ability working with Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Adobe
  • Familiarity of Electronic Medical records/programs

The minimum starting salary for this position is:  $44,528.52
