The BC Arts Council is engaging with artists, arts organizations, service organizations, and sector partners to inform the development of its Strategy and Action Plan. The provincial agency is responsible for supporting and investing in and supporting arts and culture activities throughout B.C. It is seeking input to ensure its priorities, programs, and funding approaches align with the changing needs, opportunities, and realities of the arts and culture sector. The council is seeking feedback on priorities. Online survey and written submissions open until July 31, 2026. Virtual sessions will be hosted in the fall- sign up to be notified when registration opens.
Engagement on Access to High Speed Internet Services- We want to hear from First Nations and Indigenous Communities. The Ministry of Citizens’ Services Connectivity Division is advancing Declaration Act Action Plan 4.36 in support of our commitment to ensure that every First Nations community in British Columbia has access to high speed internet services. We want to hear from Indigenous communities to help identify infrastructure gaps and ensure provincial efforts align with community priorities including access to services, affordability and digital capacity. We are committed to ensuring that projects respect Indigenous rights, priorities, and self-determination, while fostering reciprocal partnerships and co-developing solutions that are meaningful, effective, and culturally appropriate.
- Dialogue Approach: Host one-on-one conversations (approximately 15–25 minutes) with key staff members to better understand needs and priorities.
